heloo there!, i saw on tv a commercial for these headlights, they are mind to shine 30% further or something like that, i cant remember the name of them, if anyone could tell me id be grateful! Also i have a chevy aveo that my wife uses to get to work and back, i want to change them so she is safer driving with them. Especially this time of year, problem is im not a mechanic, does any mechanic or chevy owner tell me how to change the headlight bulbs, and if you can just out of curiousity, tell me how to change the tail lights too? How to improve the performance of my YAMAHA FZ16 bike?

I have completed an year with this bike and i thought of chipping in some upgrades to the bike.. i really take care of my bike and so it has been doing really great since i bought it.. I have a few options in mind but since i am no expert i thought i should put up this question in general to get a right answer from someone who know well about upgrades.

1. Plan to change the existing spark plug to the Iridium park plugs which are relatively expensive. Have resaerched and found that they improve performance and economy as well.

2. Change the battery to accomodate the Fazer's horn and change the headlight bulb to a brighter one. Which battery and bulb should a go for without hurting the bike??

3. I see that the tyres flatten pretty quick and i have heard of this nitrogen gas thats been pumpe into tubeless tyres of cars which require no refilling for almost an year. Does this really work??



I am looking for precise answers from someone who have dealt with these issue previously.

Changing the battery can be difficult, any more powerful battery will be larger and wont fit. If the horn is too quiet and most modern horns are. It would be easier to get a louder horn. Sorry I cant help with the bulb , ask at your local supplier. As to the tyres if they are going flat quickly you must have a problem with either the rims or valves. If air can escape so will nitrogen. how hard is it to replace the stock radio out for another one. will the controls on the steering wheel still work for the aftermarket one. and is there a way to get in the gauges and somehow change the orange color lighting its has. oh and fog lights, mine dont have them just a black cover in the hole, can i add just any set i want to and if i change the headlight bulbs to the silverstars do they have to be any certain kind? thats a few ?'s in one. just bought the car. thanks05 altima, changing radio?replacing a radio on a newer car is more difficult than in an older car, but still do-able. u will have to figure out how the radio comes out, usually there are pins that you insert into the dash that unlock the radio and allow it to be pulled out. the steering wheel controls can probably be used with the new radio, u just have to look into what kinds of accessories come with your new radio, some have a system where u can wire it to work with existing accessories, so the steering wheel controls might be still usable. the gauge lights can be changed by taking apart your dash so you can access the bezel that the gauges are in, once you remove this, you can access the lights behind there, and you can find replacement lights anywhere online practically, and change those lights. as for the fog lights, u didnt choose the option to have them installed, but u can order an OEM factory kit of fog lights, or any aftermarket kit online or from a nissan dealership and either have them installed or you can install them yourself, it would just be a matter of removing the covers, usually removable with screws or even just snapped in place. the light kits will come with any necessary mounting accessories and wiring, then you just have to wire them into the electrical system (maybe easier to let a dealership do this), then make sure you have wired them into a switch or button inside so you can turn them on. for headlights, almost any headlights will work, just make sure that the end of the bulb is the right size and shape for the light sockets in your headlights, some cars have different kinds, just be sure to buy ones that are made for that year of altima.05 altima, changing radio?Go to the dealer and buy yourself a shop manual. However when I try to twist the old headlight's black handle toward %26quot;open%26quot;, it won't budge. Am I doing it wrong? Should I use a tool to get it to budge? Try to avoid using pliers because you could too easily break the plastic. Try the other headlight's bulb. Does it move enough to give you an idea of how it works?

Sometimes, on many car parts there's a little plastic tab you need to bend in or down or out or up in order to allow the larger piece to slide out or turn. I'm not sure headlight bulbs have this. Yours might, or not.

If it's still not budging, it's probably sticking to the headlight housing. Be careful--it's not worth snapping the plastic within that housing, which is more expensive. Try twisting a little in the opposite direction, and back and forth to get it to loosen up a bit.

I don't know if the manual recommends it, but you could try dripping only two or three drops of a lubricant that does not dissolve or deform plastic. Lithium grease is often used for this. White lithium grease is sold in a can at car parts and hardware stores. If you have a can of it with a sprayer, only spray into the cap a tiny bit, and then use a stick or screw or screwdriver or whatever to drip a couple droplets onto where the bulb is seated in its housing.

You can do it. If worst comes to worst, go to a friendly auto parts store (where you bought the bulb?) when they're not busy, and ask the person at the counter if they'd take a very quick look in the parking lot.

I am going soon to an auto parts store to buy a replacement bulb for my car. However, I am not exactly sure what to get. The car has 3 %26quot;bulbs%26quot; a yellow parking bulb, a white high beams, and a metallic type lamp with kind of a - - - appearance for low beams. This metallic lamp is the one that burnt out. I have not seen this part separately available for sale in online parts stores. Is this a part that on this Malibu can be changed independent of the headlight assembly? By metallic your talking about a painted on metallic color at the tip of the light correct?



First- turn on the headlights look at them from outside, or shine them on your garage or fence. Do it first on lowbeam, are any lights out? if not turn on your hibeams and then see if one is out.



One other thing the metallic thing could be is just like a reflector, that centers over the bulb causing the light to reflect back to the silver backing in the housing and shine out again..If thats what it is, you DO NOT need to replace that, just get the bulb, the reflector will stay in.



as far as removing the light, there %26quot;should%26quot; be 2 bolts on the top of the headlight enclosure, remove them, then there may be one other long bolt running down behind the light, loosen that one just enough to remove the headlight enclosure



not sure what stores are in your area, but here is a link. any auto parts store will be able to look up the exact part number you need if you tell them the year/make/model car you have and which (hi or low) beam light you need.

This is done by sliding the retainer up after releasing the lock on it. The release lever islocated on the side of the headlight assy toward the rear just below the edge of the fender where the hood sits on it. The little square belide the lever that has a crosshatch desgn on it is the lock and must be carefully pushed in. I've changed the bulb thinking it was bad, but I've decided it's got to be some bad wiring... 8. My 2001 PT came in about two weeks ago and a week later I found out the headlight was blown. I read the manual, which explains fairly well how to change the bulb and what not to do. The part that it doesn't explain is how to open and remove the access door to get at the bulb. I took the car to the local dealer and they changed it in about 45 minutes. I ask them if they would show me how to open the access door in case I had to change another at some point. They told me that it was complicated and it took one of their Chrysler trained technicians 20 minutes to open it. Can you tell my how it is attached and how to open it? - Jim, from the USA.



Replacement time for me is 5 minutes. All you have to do is pull off the access cover. Pry it off, starting at the outside edge closest to you. Pry hard and it will come out. It may be easier to reach in with the wheel turned, or removed. If you remove the wheel make sure to support the vehicle with safety jacks before attempting to remove the access cover. Twist the bulb counter clockwise to remove it. Don't touch the new bulb. Oils on skin will reduce the life of the bulb. Here are the replacement bulbs and numbers:



Low beam: 9006XS

High beam: 9005XS

Fog light: 9006

Park/Turn/Side marker: 4157NAKX

If you just put the bulbs in two months ago, they are likely burnt out. When you put bulbs in and touch them, the oil from your hands will cause to blow out after time. Replace the bulbs again.

I have changed bulbs and lights before. On this truck, you have to remove the entire light and replace it.....okay, the screws in the bezel are round with a tiny o shape in the middle. How do I get these off??



The manual tells me how to change the light, but not how to get these screws off??

If you must, then you will have to purchase a special bit that is made for tamper proof screws. I'm pretty sure taking the grille off will help you out, and you should see what I'm talking about then.

Don't know how to change the headlight in a VW New Beetle?? I do. here's how.?

I have a 2004 Beetle convertible. And just recently changed it myself. The dealer will try to tell you there is no way you can do that, and that you need a %26quot;special%26quot; tool. But that isn't true.



Here are the directions. Hope they work for you :)



1.Pull the lever to open the hood inside the left side under your steering wheel.



2. Open the hood.



3.There is a black plastic lever on the column to the Passenger's side view same on the Driver's side.



4.Push it so that it %26quot;loosens%26quot; the column holding the light casing.



5. Gently push the column forward to get the entire casing for the headlight bulb out.



6.Unhook the wires attached to the light.



7.Take the light out on a table and unclip the black tab.



8.Unhooked the clips on the side of the casing, and then the wire clip holding the bulb. (Close the clip the same way you opened it) .



9. Touch only the metal part or use a paper towel to hold the new headlight bulb (The oils from our hands will make the halogen bulb not last as long.)

Make sure you purchase the correct application (D2S) and DONT TOUCH THE BULB when replacing it. If it's a standard halogen bulb then you still have to get the correct application the still do not touch the bulb end. Your fingerprints will cause it to burn in hot spots which will eventually lead to another burn out. Hopefully it's just a halogen because HID Xenon bulbs from factory are REALLy $$$$$$$$. I just replaced one of mine for $175, but you should never have to replace an HID bulb. It usually means there's something else wrong other than the bulb itself. To replace either or you have to remove the plastic caps on the reverse side of the headlight inside the engine compartment and twist out the bulb.



Now for the indicator bulb there should be a hole with a screw down inside it on top of the housing where your hood sits. Stick a screw driver down there and unscrew it. It doesn't come out all the way!!! So don't force it. THen pull the whole housing out and turn the bulb connector a little to release the housing. ******When you slide the housing back into place make sure you don't tighten the screw down too much, you could crack the plactic Y looking piece that hold the whole housing in. NEVER TOUCH THE GLASS BULB WITH YOUR HANDS OR YOUR LIGHTS WILL GO OUT IN A VERY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. If you happen to touch the glass part of the bulb with your hands, get some rubbing alcohol and clean the bulb thoroughly before you install it to use it.



Otherwise, you just lift your hood, locate the plugs directly behind each headlight. You will probably have to turn (or push in and turn) the plug and pull out the current bulb. Then do the reverse, and you should be done. As long as you can reach the plugs (i.e. sometimes the battery or some other item is in the way), it should only take you 5-10 minutes to replace both bulbs.

ok so I bought the headlight bulbs to a 2003 Olds bravada thinking it was like all the other headlights I've changed (twist and pull) but noooo! looks like I have to remove the whole headlight assembly and have tried but looks like I almost broke some things. can someone shed some light on the correct procedures please?How can i change headlights to a 2003 oldsmobile bravada?Not sure...but, look to see if there are two (for each light) very long screws holding the entire headlight assembly in place. If so, remove both screws and the head light assembly should come right out...making the bulb more accessible to replace.



If not, check with your local GM dealer...or at least a reputable auto parts store. Someone should be able to assist you with your need.

i will try to explain this as simple as is..

first open your hood..,then look in the corner in front passenger side,there should be the back of the light..,i dont know in particular for your car model,but their can't be that big of a diffrence either,lol...,anyway,either it has on the back a cap,that can be screwed off,or it is a cap with handscrews,or it has a rubber that can be pulled off.

just follow the wire,in case of doubt..,its most likely the bulb is on the end of the wire...:-).(some cars have 2 bulbs on front,in case of doubt,you can always put on the lights,i think yours has two,then it will be most likely the bigger one)

if you got to the bulb that isent working,..,just pull of the wire first,you should pull that backwards from the bulb away..,than when the wire is off,look how it is connected,that can be a ring to turn off,or a spring,or a clip..i dont know exactly for your car...,just fumble a bit with it,it will come off..:-)..,but look good how its conected,cause you got to fit on the new bulb too..,when you look at bulb,you see 3 connections..,you should place the bulb with the one up,not down.,put in the new bulb,and turn a lil with it to left or right,till you feel it has a place where it stops and clicks a lil deeper in the hole,then mount the connection again,weither it was a ring or a clip,put on the wire again,with the one on top,you will not get it on otherwise..its formed that way..,anyway test your light,before you put on the cap again..Does anyone know how to change the bulb in a 2002 Ford Focus? 5. Replace the burned out light bulb with a new headlight bulb for your Kia Sedona. Using a paper towel to hold the new bulb, squeeze the retaining clips on the light bulb socket, and slide the new bulb into place.



6. Screw the plastic caps back into place on the back of the headlight assembly and reattach the electrical connectors. Slide the headlight assembly into the vehicle frame and line it up so the keeper pins snap into place.



7. Reattach the headlight assembly to the frame with the bolts and socket wrench. Turn the Kia Sedona headlight switch on to verify that the lights are working, and then shut the switch off.

I went to change the headlight on my car. I opened the cover and pushed on the wire as told in the manual. How do you get the light loose so that the bulb can be changed. The wire is stopping me from getting it out!How do you change the headlight on a 2007 Kia Rio?Turn the wire house anticlockwise, it will release and you can see the bulb. No need to open the wire, unless you want to change the wire or add extra power to the headlight.

If all the bulbs are still lite up then your bulbs are fine. You may have a selanoid that is bad or the turn signal switch needs to be worn out.

It's not the same as any other car I've changed the bulb onAnyone know how to replace the headlight bulb on a 1990 Mercedes 300SE?It's pretty simple:

-open hood

-remove cover on back of head lamp assy. (it pulls up)

-unscrew plastic retainer

-pull out bulb and unplug from socket



Installation is reverse of above. Just be very careful not to touch the bulb glass with your hands. If you accidentally do touch it, clean the glass thoroughly before installing. The bulb is a 9004 by the way.Anyone know how to replace the headlight bulb on a 1990 Mercedes 300SE?no

Unbolting the battery on the drivers side and moving it in helps also. Just don't unbolt anything on the headlight or alignment can be off.
